What does "Vendange" mean?
It is French for the grape harvest. There are no weigh-ins, diets or drills here. You will eat very well, drink very well and rest a great deal, the way the valley does every harvest.
What exactly is included?
Everything listed on the Retreats page: your suite, all meals and wine, every tasting fee, chauffeured airport transfers, the touring coach, spa treatments in your session, activities, laundry, wine shipping and all gratuities. The only extras are wine you choose to buy for home (we ship it free), villa upgrades and anything truly off-menu.
Which airport should I fly into?
SFO is about 75 minutes away and has the most flights. Oakland (OAK) and Sacramento (SMF) work well too. If you're flying private, Napa County Airport (APC) is ten minutes from camp. Transfers from any of these are included.
Can I come on my own?
Absolutely. Plenty of campers do, and the communal table makes it easy to make friends. A single supplement of 35% applies.
What if I don't drink much, or at all?
You're very welcome. Our sommelier keeps a serious list of non-alcoholic wines, verjus spritzes and house sodas, and the food alone is worth the trip. Every activity is optional, including the wine ones.
What should I pack?
Linen, a sweater for the cave and evenings, comfortable shoes for vineyard walks, a swimsuit and a sun hat. Waistbands with some give. We'll handle the rest: robes, slippers, sunscreen and bug spray are in every suite.
When is the best time to come?
Harvest (late August through October) is the most festive and books first. Spring (March to May) is green, quiet and full of wildflowers. Summer is warm and golden with long evenings. We close December through February to rest the vines, and ourselves.
What's your cancellation policy?
Cancel 60 or more days before arrival for a full refund of your deposit. Inside 60 days, your deposit can be moved to another session within 12 months. We recommend travel insurance.
