The people who spoil you.
There's about one staff member for every guest. They're all very good at their jobs, and most of them are very good at croquet.
Grown-ups deserve summer camp too.
Camp Vendange began over a long dinner in the valley with a simple question: what if adult camp was the opposite of every boot camp, juice cleanse and 5 a.m. hike? No weigh-ins, no green juice, and nobody yelling at you on a hike.
We kept the spirit of summer camp and took the hospitality very seriously. The result is a place built around three old-fashioned ideas: eat real food, drink good wine and rest properly. You should go home rested, a bit rounder, and in no hurry to leave.
The name comes from vendange, the French word for the grape harvest: the season when the whole valley gathers at the table.

Meet your counselors.
Camp titles, five-star credentials. Our team comes from Michelin kitchens, famous hotels and some of the valley's best-known cellars.
The Head Counselor
Your single point of contact from the first call to the last wave goodbye. They'll know your anniversary, your allergies and your opinion on oak.
The Camp Cook
Trained in fine dining and happiest at a wood fire. Runs the garden, the mess hall and the long table in the vines, and insists on seconds.
The Director of Hydration
Keeper of the cave and the 3,000-bottle library. Pairs every course, runs the blind tastings and will never make you feel silly about liking rosé.
The Arts & Crafts Teacher
Leads the blending workshop and the vineyard walks, and the harvest stomp too. Has purple hands from August to October.
The Transportation Counselors
Professional drivers who know every back road from Calistoga to Carneros, which winery dog is friendly, and when to stay quiet.
The Cabin Counselors
One per suite. They unpack, press, pour, turn down and anticipate. They'll learn your coffee order by day two and remember it for years.
The Camp Nurse
Runs the vineyard spa cabanas. Specialties include deep-tissue massage, grapeseed scrubs and fixing the "one more glass."
The Activities Director
Books the balloons, the coast trip and the private concerts, and hands out the merit badges. Takes croquet very, very seriously.
The Canteen
Croissants at dawn, truffles at turndown and an olive oil cake that has caused at least one repeat booking. Keeps the Camp Pantry stocked.
The camp rules.
Rest hour is mandatory.
From 3 to 4 p.m. you'll be horizontal. Counselors will check on you. With blankets.
The cheese course is non-negotiable.
You may decline dessert. You may not decline cheese.
We drive. Always.
Not once, not even "just down the road." That's what the Motor Pool is for.
Seconds are encouraged.
Thirds are between you and the chef.
No weigh-ins, no calorie counts, no step goals.
Please leave your fitness tracker in the suite safe. We won't tell it anything.
Dress code: elastic, elegantly.
Linen, cashmere, sun hats and forgiving waistbands. A jacket for the cave if you like, but never required.
Lights out: whenever.
No bugle and no bed check, just a turned-down bed and a truffle on your pillow.

Rooted in the valley.
We buy from Napa and Sonoma farms, ranches and makers first. Our vineyards are farmed organically, and the estate runs largely on solar. A share of every stay supports the scholarship and housing programs for the valley's vineyard workers, the people who make all of this possible.
